Founded in response to a growing need for community-led specialist support for gender diverse people in an increasingly hostile United Kingdom, Esse House is comprised of a diverse group of associates who endeavour to address the growing need for support for trans individuals facing social challenges in the UK.

We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities. At Esse House, our mission is to improve the lives of our members by providing essential services, opportunities and support to our community.

Entirely funded by the community, for the community - we offer a variety of initiatives from our Pee in Peace Program to emergency financial assistance, EsseCamps to housing provision and employment opportunities. Our goal is to empower individuals to gain confidence and thrive.

Emergency Assistance

We provide emergency housing, care and support for community members in crisis from our shared safehouse, located 45 minutes drive from Glasgow, Scotland

Day to day life can be daunting and sometimes we all need help to feel safe and anxiety free. Esse House volunteers act as in-person advocates for service users vital appointments.

Affectionately coined our "PIP" program, Pee In Peace distributes generic British accessible toilet keys to trans people being negatively affected or targeted when using public facilities
