Our aim with this initiative is to reduce instances of street homelessness within the trans and non-binary community by providing practical support to those experiencing, or at risk of, street homelessness.
As much as we would like for it to be different, we aren't in a position to just give people homes, but we can provide a route to long-term, safe, community-operated social housing to those seeking assistance. Our emergency accommodation is within a residential unit operated by the organisation, with mental health support, transitional support, and community aspects provided for free or at cost by partner organisations, professionals, and our own initiatives.
We have limited emergency accommodation capacity at one location in Scotland that serves the entirety of the UK, and is in high demand. Our first long-term community-owned shared properties are due to open in September 2026
Applicants that pass initial screening will be invited to take part in a phone call so that we can better understand your situation and answer any questions you may have. Successful Applicants will be able to demonstrate eligibility for housing benefit/universal credit, a current claim for housing benefit/universal credit, or proof of regular income of at least £800/month.
We will respond to all application within 48 hours, via email.
